Canela organized the launch and ongoing media relations programme for the global outsourcing website Freelancer.com to the Spanish media targeting entrepreneurs, freelancers and SMEs. Canela managed a media outreach programme via press releases and interviews with Spanish Country Manager, Clive Pembridge. We offered exclusive case studies to the specialized media to provide them with examples of Spanish users enjoying Freelancer platform worldwide.

The PR programme resulted in several pieces of branded coverage in business and national press, including an interview in El País, an opinion article in El Economista, interviews in national radio (Radio Nacional de España) and local TV (RTVECYL) as well as pieces in entrepreneurs and SMEs websites, e-commerce & marketing publications.
LinuxCon Europe 2012, Barcelona
In 2012 The Linux Foundation celebrated its annual European event in Barcelona. Canela conducted the media outreach for the event including interviews with Jim Zemlin, Linux Foundation Executive Director and other spokespeople.
The launch of ON Voicefeed App for Orange
Canela managed the launch of the new voicemail app for iPhone, ON Voicefeed, created by LibOn, Orange Group Mobile Apps Division. Canela created awareness through a beta tester programme with bloggers and journalists.

Canela also sourced a comedian, Cristina Fenollar, to record videos which were used in social media to generate buzz before the event among journalists. Canela managed a social media campaign on Facebook and Twitter pages using the hashtag #comolodices.

One week after launch ON Voicefeed got a great coverage in daily newspapers, lifestyle magazines and IT media.
Content creation for México Today
Mexico Today contacted with Canela to create, manage and promote stories in Spanish social media. Canela created articles for the Spanish version of México Today corporate website and managed the contents for Facebook and Twitter pages of México Today.

In addition, Canela coordinated a group of travel bloggers who published contents related to tourism in México and monitored social media sites. Canela also reached out to the blogging community via virtual roundtables with Mexican VIPs.
Fred Perry Festival Cup, FIB 2011
During the Benicassim Festival 2011 we invited members of the music and fashion press to compete in a table tennis tournament against band members and DJs.

The event known as the Fred Perry Festival Cup was a great success and created a lot of repercussion, especially in social media.
Nissan Winter Program – Freeride World Tour ‘11
Canela managed the press office activities for Nissan’s winter sports program 2011.

This included inviting Spanish journalists to the Freeride World Tour ski and snow championship in Verbier, Switzerland as well as getting information about Nissan’s activities published in all the main ski, travel and leisure publications.
Western Digital’s social networks in Spain
Canela manages Western Digital’s Facebook and Twitter profiles with the objective of interacting with WD´s consumers via social networks.

Canela updates both profiles daily to share information about the company´s products and maintain a conversation with fans.

WD’s official fan page in Spain has the highest number of fans of any of the other WD profiles in Europe.
Fernando Alonso spends his holiday on Hamilton Island
Hamilton Island got in contact with Canela to help raise the profile of Hamilton Island as a tourist destination.

We took advantage of Fernando Alonso’s break between Formula 1 in Australia and Malaysia to offer him accommodation on the island.

The news and photographs of Alonso´s stay were published in every single Spanish sports paper and most of the national newspapers.
Hitachi Information Forum
Canela organises Hitachi Data Systems’ annual client events in Madrid and Barcelona.

Showcasing the latest developments in data storage and involving top EMEA executives, clients and partners, these events have taken place in locations such as FC Real Madrid’s stadium, Santiago Bernabéu, or Gaudi´s Batlló House, in Barcelona.

Canela is responsible for the logistics of the events as well as ensuring that Hitachi’s key media targets attend.
Boston Medical Group
Canela manages Boston Medical Group’s press campaign to promote awareness about the causes of male sexual dysfunction.

The campaign is targeted at the 18-35 year old age group who are reticent to seek help.

Since Canela started the campaign calls to BMG’s call centre and visits to the web page have increased significantly amongst this target group.
